A biosafety cabinet (BSC) is a primary control device used with biological material. While treatment biological agents, it is the biological corresponding of using harmful chemicals inside a fume hood. Like a chemical fume hood, a biosafety cabinet protects the user from hazardous material using turning air flow.  Biosafety cabinets differ in that the air is also HEPA filtered, which removes biological chemicals.
